Does es have a memory effect?

Not with the battery technology currently in use (Li-Ion). This myth dates back to the days of Ni-Cd batteries. Discharging the battery completely before charging actually damages its durability. Even "conditioning" the battery does not work. If it is defective, the only solution is to replace it.
